Our programming reflects the diverse nature and various needs of our community members. With services designed in direct response to resident requests, The Tierney Learning Center provides 300+ individuals a week with access to courses that a material difference in their lives.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS
ABCD HEAD START
Approximately 50 children age 9 months to 5 years receive engaging quality early care and education. Tierney staff actively supports the children’s families, conducting home visits and providing referrals to local social, financial and family services—all of which can greatly enhance the education the children receive.
TRAUMA INFORMED YOUTH THERAPY
DOC WAYNE
Trading coaches for clinicians, and gyms for the therapist’s couch, 30 at-risk youth age 6 to 13 engage in trauma-informed sports and group therapy. Counselors also offer participants one-on-one sessions for added support. This program is integrated into the After School and Summer Learning programs.
SENIOR PROGRAMS & MORE!
WELLNESS & SOCIAL PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS
A range of programming—from bingo and dominoes to yoga and arts and crafts—designed to help keep seniors mentally and physically active while combatting isolation and loneliness. Intergenerational programs create deep ties that benefit seniors and youth.
ADULT MENTORING PROGRAMS
EMPATH
A nationally recognized program that provides six months of Mobility Mentoring Training for 24 adults, helping participants set and reach their goals.
TECHNOLOGY CENTER & TRAINING
One-on-one and small group support that includes resume writing, job searching, and computer skills.
